Artwork & symbolism

Half wing, half fracture

One orange monarch wing remains intact, complete with dark veins and pale spots. The other side breaks into blue-black shards, suspended over fine notation and archive-style marks.

Monarch Archive treats transformation as something that can leave a visible trace. The butterfly is still recognisable through the fracture, but it is no longer symmetrical. Warm orange and cold blue make that change impossible to miss.
